Biography.
When Charlotte, NC native Dylan Gilbert first started recording songs at the age of 13, they were just a patchwork of the visions bubbling around in his head. His father's four-track was only a temporary place for them to rest. Gilbert, now 22, after releasing four records is proud to announce Pangaea, the album his 13-year self has always wanted to make. There are animal noises, pots, pans and train whistles partnered with elements of jazz, country, Latin and French music to create a sponge of an album that is a statement not only of his growth as a musician, but a child-like perspective in us all. Gilbert perhaps described it best himself when calling it a "complex children's album." Pangaea is available now on iTunes, CDbaby.com, Amazon.com, Rhapsody, Napster and more!

Gilbert has performed over 300 shows from Georgia to New York, sharing the stage with national acts such as Owen Pallett (Domino), Paper Tongues (A&M Octone) and Lost In The Trees (Anti-).

Dylan Gilbert & The Over Easy Breakfast Machine, his new band, are currently touring the east coast and recording new material through Winter 2010.
